What will be your New Year’s Dissolution?

There’s no doubt that 2016 will go down in history as one to be remembered and, as always, this time of year invites us to pause and take stock before looking ahead.

Hundreds of curious professionals participated in ‘conversations that matter’ ignited by Talkpoint throughout the year. Whether you took part in the #KimmelTalks Tour with visiting professor Michael Kimmel, came out and played Speed Mentoring with us, or sat at one of our intimate Roundtable Meetings, we are deeply grateful for your contribution and feel enriched by your presence. Thank You!

In our overwhelmingly busy daily lives, it’s difficult to stop and reflect, so the value of checking in at year end is high. Rather than adding to our ‘to do’ lists, we believe it’s more useful to consider what isn’t working and to be courageous about naming the elephants in our rooms. So, instead of making a resolution, this year we encourage you to make a New Year’s Dissolution, to let go of the things that are no longer serving you and make space for the new to emerge. We’d love to hear from you about what you’ll be leaving behind in 2016.

Following our own reflecting and letting go, we’re excited to declare ‘Humanising Work’ as Talkpoint’s focus and we will be in touch in the New Year about how you can take part in this collective inquiry.

Until then we wish you safe and happy holidays and look forward to connecting in 2017.

PS: We’d love you to see you at our first Speed Mentoring of 2017 at 8:30am on Wednesday 8th February. Fast, fun and focused this ‘two-way thinking’ experience is for all curious professionals.
